Denture Reline: Your dentist adds new material to the inner surface of the denture so it conforms perfectly to the current shape of your gums. This can be a hard reline (durable acrylic) or a soft reline (pliable, cushion-like material for sensitive gums).
Spot Adjustments: If the denture causes minor sore spots or pinching, the dentist can shave or polish down specific pressure points.
Denture Adhesive: Sometimes if there is not much bone support for the denture, using Denture Adhesive (denture glue) is a good option. Denture adhesive needs to be applied to clean and dry denture every day. If denture is dirty and wet, adhesive will not stick. Old adhesives must be removed before applying new ones. Fixodent and Polydent are good brands to try.
